Nils F. Schott
Interests: Nils F. Schott (B.A., The American University of Paris; M.A., Johns Hopkins) works on European literature, philosophy, and culture with an emphasis on the period 1650-1850, but also on contemporary philosophy and theory. He is particularly interested in the appropriation and transformation of theological legacies and in the ways in which the insights of literary theory shed light on decidedly non-literary texts. Nils is currently completing his dissertation, "The Conversion of Knowledge--Religion and Enlightenment in Eighteenth-Century Catechisms."
